Gems, Crystals, Fossils: Oh My!

July 8 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Prepare to go back in time to the age of dinosaurs, volcanoes, & the fossils left behind. What do we mean when we say crystals, stones, minerals, & gems? Are they different? Let’s learn their origin stories & mineral composition as we visit with staff from Hodges Jewelers. Then, we’ll walk over for a tour of the jewelry shop…including a behind-the-scenes look at the repair & creation stations there. From there, we’ll walk to Quothe the Raven, where we will unearth the stories of crystals: their properties, meanings, & history of how they have been used by people over time. Pick up can be at the library or at 225 W Michigan Ave, Marshall, MI.

Registration required & opens the Monday prior.
