Homebound Outreach

A free home delivery service of library materials is available to Marshall District Library cardholders in good standing who are unable to come to the Library.

  • Materials available include all books and audiobooks, except New Arrivals.
  • Delivery will be made once a month.
  • Patrons may choose to receive up to 15 items each month.

To be eligible for this service, an individual must:

  • Reside in the MDL service area.
  • Be a library cardholder in good standing.
  • Be homebound due to age, long-term illness or disability for a period of at least six weeks.

Room Reservations

Marshall District Library offers a variety of rooms available for public use, perfect for meetings, study groups, or quiet individual work.

Large Meeting Room: Accommodates up to 60 people. Ideal for community events, large presentations, or workshops.


Program Room: Holds up to 24 people. Great for smaller group activities, classes, or club meetings.


Conference Room: Seats up to 12 people. Perfect for business meetings, interviews, or collaborative projects.


Small Study Rooms: Two rooms, each holding up to 2 people. Designed for quiet individual study or small, focused discussions.

Notary

Marshall District Library provides notary services on a limited basis. Our notaries are available to help you with various documents requiring official certification.

Common documents that often require notarization include:

  • Affidavits and sworn statements
  • Power of Attorney forms
  • Deeds and real estate documents
  • Loan documents
  • Medical directives and living wills
  • Vehicle title transfers

Test Proctoring

Test proctoring services are provided by Marshall District Library upon request. Persons interested in using this service must contact library staff in advance of the test date. The student is responsible for making all arrangements with the educational institution giving the test.

This service is provided free of charge to Marshall District Library cardholders. All others will pay $15.00 per proctored test. Payment is due at the time test arrangements are made. We accept cash, credit cards, or checks made payable to Marshall District Library.

Curbside Service

For a quick and easy visit, take advantage of our curbside option. Call ahead to let us know when you’ll be stopping by, then pull into the marked curbside pickup spot out front. Once you’re parked, give us a call and we’ll bring your items directly to your car. We’re also happy to collect any returns at the same time. It’s a simple, convenient way to use the library without ever leaving your vehicle.
